Community Guidelines



We belong to ClubMom because we recognize a common bond in motherhood. Whether we need information, would like a one-to-one connection, or want to contribute to the membership at large, we recognize the value of sharing in this community of Moms. And in order to nurture and grow our community, we recognize the following as shared values:

  1. All members have a right to be heard no matter what their views. We each have the right to our own opinions and the right to say what those opinions are.
  2. Obscenity and pornography do not belong in our community. If you are unsure what words are acceptable or not acceptable, use what you hear on commercial television as your guide.
  3. We agree to behave with the same courtesy that we try to instill in our children. Abusive language, name-calling, insults, harassment, and personal attacks will not be tolerated. Further, members are prohibited from making posts that encourage or promote unlawful conduct.
  4. We deserve a place to meet without being barraged by commercial messages. Do not use the community area for advertising. A few special areas have been designated for Moms to conduct commercial transactions, and they are so labeled.
  5. Within advertising-permitted boards, multiple posts from a single individual in a single day will be treated as spam and the member may be blocked from posting to our boards.
  6. ClubMom reserves the right to take appropriate measures including blocking the member from posting to any or all of our message boards, blogs or other forums and/or revoking the person's ClubMom membership for any member behavior we determine is damaging to our community.
  7. We recognize that non-Members can view Member postings and each of us takes responsibility to avoid posting personal information such as home address, telephone number, or any other information that clearly identifies the individual poster.
  8. We respect privacy and agree not to use email addresses of other Members or to Private Message other members to send unsolicited advertising, chain letters, or requests.
  9. In posting to our message boards, blogs, the MomNetwork and other forums, you guarantee to us that you have legal rights to post your material and it will not violate any law or the rights of any person.
  10. By posting any material on our Site, you give us the royalty-free, irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide right to use, publish, copy, distribute, display, sublicense, edit, modify, and create derivative works from the content you post, along with your Screen Name, or your first name and first initial of your last name, address, (city and state) and any personally identifiable information about you contained in that content, in any and all media, for advertising, promotional, and any other legal purpose, without further permission required from you.
  11. You understand that we are not responsible for the truth, completeness, objectivity, or usefulness of any content posted by our members ("Member Content"), nor do we endorse any Member Content including any postings or replies to postings made by members who act as volunteer moderators for our message boards.
  12. We do not verify the identity of people using our Site, and you assume the risk of accepting or rejecting the truthfulness and accuracy of any information you come across.
  13. We do not screen, monitor, edit, or review Member Content. We do have the right to monitor or remove any Member Content at any time and without notice should we become aware of it and if we believe it will improve our Site, but are under no obligation to do so. We can also suspend or terminate use of the Services by anyone who does not follow these Community Guidelines or the ClubMom Terms of Service.
